Hi friends, below you will find a link to some photos of my Mums doll collection

I hope you find this doll collection interesting, and find a doll or so that you would like to have.

First a little background information on the collection.

My mother was a dance teacher, teaching ballet, tap and national dancing. She would present her students in a Pantomime each year and made every dress and costume they would wear. After retiring she turned her talents to making and dressing dolls as a hobby.

Mum was not only a collector but also made ceramic dolls, then painted and dressed them. Although specialising in miniture ceramic dolls she made or dressed many larger dolls too. Some she purchased locally and dressed while others were purchased from countries overseas in their "National Dress".

Another facit of her hobby was making "miniture displays" for example the Cinderell horse and carriage and the three ugly sisters, a teenagers bedroom scene, a wedding scene, many nursery rhyme scenes and lots of others, some of which are still available.

Mum was president of the Power House Museum Dolls in Sydney for a few years, a Doll Judge at the Royal Easter Show and member of the NSW Minature Dolls Club.
